Pool Predictor Pro is actively developed, not parked. This page is the honest version: what landed recently, what's being built now, and what we're still thinking about. Including the things the app can't do yet.
Updates arrive automatically, so there's usually nothing to install. A few of the more recent ones:
When free chlorine is above range, the app now tells you how fast it's burning off, what date it lands back in range, and what would get you there sooner: your salt cell, a tab feeder, or leaving the cover off, each one priced in ppm per day for your pool.
The prediction confidence score no longer just shows a number. It names the single thing most likely to raise it, which is usually measuring a parameter your last test skipped.
Password reset for email accounts, clearer sign-in errors, and a build identifier in Settings so a support question can actually be answered.
Work that's underway rather than aspirational.
Litres, °C and metres throughout, as a setting you flip. The forecast engine keeps working in its own units underneath, so switching is a display choice that can't alter your stored readings or change a prediction.
Local weather is fetched from a US ZIP code today, which is the real reason the app is US-only. Postal-code lookup for other countries is being built alongside metric units. Together, those two are what "works outside the US" actually means.
Every chemical you log is matched to a real product at a real concentration, so the dose is in bottles and scoops rather than abstract ppm. We're steadily adding brands, strengths and pack sizes so it matches what's actually on your shelf.
Today's reminders are notifications on your phone. Email and SMS need a server that reads the same forecast and sends on its own schedule. The app already stores the preference, so this is the half that's missing.
Your pools, tests, treatments and diagnosed issues already sync across devices on Pro. Alert preferences and which pool is active don't yet, so a new phone needs those set again.
Pump flow is anchored to each model's published performance curve, brand by brand. Hayward and Pentair are done; the rest still use older estimates until we work through them.
Genuinely undecided: on the list, not on a schedule. Your feedback moves things here more than anything else does.
The app is English-only today. Translating a chemistry app is more than swapping words. Dose instructions, safety wording and product labels all have to stay correct in the new language, which is exactly the kind of thing that's worth doing properly or not at all. We'd start with the languages most spoken by pool owners where the app is available.
Pro covers up to two pools, which fits an owner with a pool and a spa. A service business needs a different shape: many pools, routes and scheduling, several technicians, and reports worth sending to a client. If that's your business, we'd like to hear what you'd actually need. That conversation is what decides whether we build it.
We read every message. If something on this page would change how you use the app, or if the thing you want isn't here at all, that's the most useful thing you can send us.
Feature requests from people who actually maintain a pool have reordered this list before.
Why there are no dates on this page. We'd rather tell you what we're genuinely working on than invent a deadline and miss it. The order here reflects what's being built, not a promise to ship by any particular time, and priorities do shift, usually because someone wrote in.
Nothing on this page is a commitment to deliver a specific feature, and you should buy the app for what it does today rather than what's listed here. What we will commit to is keeping this page honest: if something is dropped, it comes off the list rather than sitting here quietly forever.
